Rambles and Riff Raff about all this and that

Decision making times

Published by Esteban Glas on June 3rd, 2008 | This post lacks all category except for: Work, long term thinking, personal

My first post with a “29″ in the age field. Interesting times.

I’m in the verge of having to taking some decisions soon. Somewhat scary, I must admit.

As usual I can’t say too much (what did you expect?) but the plot thickens and things will sort out one way or the other.

The good thing is that all options look good. Certain paths seem more promising than others from a certain point of view. But looking at them from a different perspective other paths arise as being best.

How do you take your own decisions? How do you weight what is best in the long run?

Anyway, fun times ahead, I’ll keep you updated.

Big decisions - yeah, life seems to be full of those lately.

Before you can make a decision, you have to set your priorities for your path in life. Without those, you won’t know which decision is most favorable.

    Easier said that done, right?

You’ve made a few tough choices already Esteban, and those should help build your confidence.

It’s paradoxical that early in life when we have so much time ahead of us that we lack the wisdom of having experienced many different things, to know what it is that we would rather want, and to plan our life accordingly. Rather it seems a bunch of best guesses based on what we know at each point along the way. The longer we go, the better our decision making should become, and the more experience on the relativeness of the ups and downs we will have weathered which helps provide a calmer hand on our life’s rudder.

Having the choices is a gift in itself.

    Mark
